About Us

Founded by love, driven by hope

Our Story

Inua Mimi Rescue Center was founded 23 years ago by Paschalia Nduku (fondly known as Shosho). A single mother and the sole provider for her eight children, Shosho experienced firsthand the challenges of raising children in difficult circumstances.

Her trials ignited a passion within her to extend her love and support to other vulnerable children in the community. Today, IMRC is a home to over 60 children rescued from issues such as tribalism, child abandonment, orphanhood, early marriage, female genital mutilation, and poverty.

We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can heal, grow, and thrive.

We provide a safe home with separate rooms and amenities for boys and girls. Every child is given the care and love they need to grow into confident individuals.

Our on-site kindergarten and lower primary classes ensure that every child has access to quality education. We also open our doors to children from the local community.

From dancing and singing to photography and music, our programs empower children to explore and develop their unique skills and talents.

Meet Mary

Mary joined IMRC at the age of 8 after being abandoned by her family. Through our care, she discovered her love for music and dance. Today, she performs on local stages and mentors younger children at the center.

Rescued from early marriage traditions, John's dream was to become a doctor. Thanks to the education he received at IMRC, he is now studying medicine and plans to return to serve his community.
